The 5th China Economics Summer Institute (CESI) will take place on June 22-24, 2012 at Guanghua New Building, Peking University.

 

The objective of CESI is to create a network and community of top level scholars working on Chinese economic development. This initiative is currently co-sponsored by UC Berkeley Center on Institutions and Governance (with generous funding from the Ford Foundation), the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University, the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University and a joint program of the LICOS-Center for Institutions and Economic Performance at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and Stanford- CASS REAP (Rural Education Action Program). The Summer Institute is organized in collaboration with the BREAD, NBER and CEPR networks of academic economists."
