Juan Garay

Dr. Garay is developing research onglobal health unmet challenges and a comparative analysis of the EU and United States policies in global health. He is a medical doctor from Spain specialized in internal medicine, tropical medicine and public health. His career has combined clinical, public health, academic, policy and political work, all related to the health of the most neglected. He has worked as a medical officer with public services in Europe and Africa, in health projects with NGOs in Africa and Latin America, with universities in analysis and research, with international institutions in global health policies and programs, and the political dialogue at the World Health Assembly in bilateral dialogue. For the last five years Dr. Garay has coordinated the health and development team in the European Union.
